About cocoa content

Cocoa content not only refers to the percentage of cocoa solids in a bar of chocolate, but it also means that all content published here is centralized on chocolate. It's a pretty nifty way of synthesizing my interests in chocolate into one tidy website that others can enjoy.

The content of this site is intended to be analytical, in-depth, and as candid as possible. Some articles are review oriented and others are entirely investigative, which is when I become a chocolate detective! Hopefully, this site is a resource you can tap into when you want to cut to the chase and find out what makes or breaks a chocolate, or learn about any kind of information that may be difficult to find. If you don't see what you're looking for here, drop me a line and I'll see what I can do to cover it.

Now, you may wonder who I am. For starters, I'm a reviewer for the UK-based chocolate community Seventypercent.com. I'm also a chocolate writer for the American gourmet food e-zine, The Nibble. Between these two publications I manage to stay quite busy, and now with this website up, I'll have even more excuses to remain online!

When I'm not consuming my time with chocolate, I'm working on completing a graduate program at New Mexico State University. In December, I will have earned an MA in anthropology with a concentration in food studies. My interests in "culture," food, health, nutrition, and agriculture have led me to a path that ends (for now) in Oregon and from there I will chart new paths towards a more narrow destination.
